Stockart.com is your complete on-line illustration source. Here is a quick overview of how to use this site:
SEARCH
The search function allows you to locate exactly the right images for your illustration needs. You can search for general topics, specific artists, arbitrary keywords, or any combination of these. The search engine provides a powerful interface to our extensive database of imagery.
Once you have made your search selections, you will be presented with a thumbnail view of each of the images that match your search criteria. From here you can either choose to place an image or your 'Light Table' (what we call your work area for comparing images) or you can see a larger preview image by clicking on the thumbnail.
PORTFOLIOS
The Portfolios section of the web site allows you to peruse the biographies and portfolios of specific artists. All of our artists are available for custom work, just contact a Stockart representative at accounts@stockart.com or 1.800.297.7658 and let them know which artist you are interested in and what the project involves.
ACCOUNT SETUP
This is where you apply for a Stockart.com customer ID. You need this ID (and a password) before you can order any images from Stockart.com. You will receive a verification e-mail confirming the Customer ID and Password you have chosen - keep a copy for future reference. If you do happen to forget your ID or Password you can either call us at 1.800.297.7658 and we will remind you of them, or alternatively you can use the 'Forgot Password' feature on the login page.

VIEW LIGHT TABLE
Press this button after you have selected images from your search selections. You'll see much the same display as before, but now you have just the images you marked for viewing 'On Light Table'. From here, you can bring up larger preview images by clicking on the thumbnails. You can bring up as many preview windows as you wish - we encourage you to have two or more up at once in order to carefully compare your choices. You can also remove images from the light table by clicking the checkbox off and pressing the 'Refresh' button. Once you have refined your choices, you can proceed to 'Estimate/Download' or call us at 1.800.297.7658 and a Stockart representative will be happy to assist you.
CREATE PDF CATALOG
You can create your own Stockart PDF Catalog which you can use for reference for yourself or to send to colleagues or clients. Just click on the 'In PDF catalog' checkbox under an image to add that image to your catalog. Once you have chosen all your images click on 'Go to Catalog' on the navigation bar on the left. You will see a page that lets you know the file size of your catalog and how long it will take to download. Click on the 'View Catalog' button and your PDF catalog will appear before you. You can then save the PDF file to your desktop for future reference.
ESTIMATE/DOWNLOAD
Press this button when you have completed your selections and wish to get an estimate for licensing your chosen image/s. You will be prompted to specify the ways in which you intend to use each image. For Image Download you will need to enter you Customer ID and Password which you chose when you completed your Account Setup.
After completing the Estimate/Download wizard you will receive a confirmation e-mail letting you know your estimate is being processed. You will receive a quote from one of our Stockart account reps within the next 15-20 mins.
If you have an existing account with Stockart.com and you the complete Estimate/Download wizard the images will be sent immediately - we allow three free comps per project. If you request delivery by Stockart.com personnel (rather than by doing it online) a $55/per image comp fee will be charged.
